Summary: Surviving in a Dangerous Place

There are a number of things you can do which will increase your chances of surviving in a dangerous situation. Firstly, it is crucial not to wander off if you are lost in an unfamiliar area. Instead, remain in your original location. Secondly, do not allow yourself to freak out – remain as calm as you can. Avoid the sun and take shelter in the shade.

If you only have a limited amount of food and drink available, it is important to ration this out so that it can last for longer. Drink water in very small amounts. Finally, focus your mind on all the reasons you have to stay alive.
