The Art of Studying Overseas
If you’re about
to visit another country, it’s always a great idea to seek advice from those
who have had a similar experience. In addition to asking what kind of clothes
you should take, remember to check what the eating habits are. While it is
important to have study and sightseeing plans beforehand, you will also need to
be flexible and be willing to adapt once you get there.
Upon
arrival, contact some students from your own country and go along to social
events. Don’t spend too much time in museums or with visitors from home and
make sure you prioritise learning the local language. Finally, don’t be
discouraged even if others seem stronger than you, linguistically.
